I am still here, I promise! Since Jackson started back to school, I have been working on a very special little project: The baby's room! I've been sewing, painting, stenciling, crafting, and such, but now it's all finished and I can't wait for her to come!

The natural lighting is really yucky in this room, but you get the idea!

This morning, we toured the fire station! Both boys loved seeing all of the cool trucks, the museum, and the firemen's living space!

And, while I think the fireman uniform is a little. . .um, striking--Luke? Not so much.

14 Months

At 14 months, Luke is alot of FUN! He likes to laugh, smile, and be silly! He walks around the house like he is putting a show on for everyone, and for the most part he is pretty entertaining! You can tell he is putting words together, and he is starting his own little vocabulary. . . Momma, Daddaayy, Bodah (brother), Mmmm (vroom), Didey (diaper). I wouldn't be surprised if he said more intentional words, but it's hard to get a word in edgewise with all the big mouths in our house!

Of course, his favorite method of communication is grunt and point!

Luke loves to play with vehicles, blocks, and read his books. His new favorite game is to run in the opposite direction when mommy calls for him!

What a fun age!

In the middle of July, Jackson had the opportunity to attend the Warrior Prince Academy. He had so much fun and was given the very COOL distinction of carrying the US flag in during their closing ceremony due to his AWESOME behavior! Go Jack!

Sorry to drop a bomb and then leave ya hanging! Yes, we are very unexpectedly expecting again and are due in November. We are excited, our heads are spinning, and, well, I am mourning the potential loss of my sporty small SUV.

Most of all, I am SICK. They CALL it morning sickness, but it never stops, is ever-present, and the only cure seems to be Ramen noodles. Unfortunately, I can only stomach eating those every so often, so I am just SICK. To make matters worse, yesterday I came down with food posioning so I am now just a mess. Be glad that you only make virtual contact with me. I promise you, it's ugly.

Anyway, this, of course, comes during one of the busiest times of the year for me, so I am just holding on, trying to fullfill my commitments as best as I can, and waiting for the end. Because there is an end somewhere, right?!?! ;)

Anyway, it's Youtube Friday. Here is my new ring-tone. Don't hate.

Thankful Thursday

Today, I am thankful for the fact that I have one more shot at something like this. . .

I mean, isn't she adorbale? This week, I am taking pictures to benefit ACS--we've raised alot of money, and I have been drooling over all the sweet little girls in perfect white dresses and yummy fluffy bows.

And, maybe. . .just maybe, I might get one of those! Yes, today, I am thankful for the nausea, exhaustion, and hip-expanding pregnancy that we were VERY surprised to learn of.

Now, if that's not irony. Well, I just don't know what is! Have a great week y'all!

Spring has Sprung.

The month of April begins this week. I'm not sure what it is about April--why my calendar explodes. . .why all major events have to be scheduled within a two-week span of one another. . .why I'd rather spend the month sipping margaritas on a white, sandy beach in Mexico.

Seriously, it's out of control, and I'm a little out of practice since the birth of little Luke, who's kept me home more than usual clinging to the little bit of a nap schedule we have. Then, add a dosing of raising two crazy boys and I'm left with a constant stomachache and a feeling that I am one step away from the looney bin at any given moment.

So, we are operating on a day-to-day basis. . .and holding on to our hats until May thankfully arrives.

Anyway, over Spring Break, we went to the Arboretum. Because I was there on work, I didn't have nearly as much time as I would have liked taking pics of the boys. But, here are a few mediocre shots of the boys until we have a chance to go back and really have some fun.

Well, y'all, today marks the official end of our Spring Break. We've had alot of fun, and I am actually a little sad to see it end.

On an exciting note, I have a new blog for the new photography business. I have to say that I have truly never enjoyed doing something more. Besides stretching my creative muscles, there is something that is SO fun about capturing a special moment for someone. Simply put, it's a perfect fit for me.
